A huge thanks to Moms Run The Town (MRTT) who planned an amazing fundraiser on behalf of the library. A 5K run/walk was held on Saturday, April 27, beginning and ending at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. The group raised in excess of $2000 for the library extension.

The theme was BACK TO PROM and had 97 participants. It was an absolute ball. Participants were encouraged to dress as if going to the prom. The BACK TO PROM t-shirts came in black and hot pink and on the back of them was listed the sponsors:

Prevea Health; Seymour Dental; Michael Peterson Poured Walls; Printech; Midwest Protection Services; Linsmeyer Masonry and Tile, Inc.; Nicolet Bank; Family Insurance Center, LLC; and Countryside Photographers.

As I visited and walked the route I had the opportunity to see so many volunteers who made the whole thing work. The local police helped, also. The effort was just great!!

I talked books with lots of the participants. That was so much fun. The morning officially began with the singing of the national anthem by Lydia Byers. After getting back to the Fellowship Hall snacks were provided by Don’s Quality Market and Kwik Trip.

I am so very pleased that a community health activity was organized for the Muehl Public Library because community health is very important to us!
