The library director is an active member of the service group. These words are authored by club member Kris Peters who served on the scholarship subcommittee along with club member Nancy Kusch.
For the 57th year, the Seymour Woman’s Club is proud to award scholarships to Seymour Community High School seniors. The 2026 winners are: Alexis Dorn, daughter of Paula Peterson and Shane Dorn; Ella Linsmeyer, daughter of Amy and Chris Linsmeyer; Maya McCollian, daughter of Jennifer and Michael McCollian; and Bree Schuettpelz, daughter of Amy and Bryan Schuettpelz. Each winner will receive a $1000 scholarship after the completion of an academic semester. All seniors at SCHS were eligible for consideration.

About Alexis Dorn
Alexis Dorn plans to attend UW-Madison, studying in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. She was a member of the track and field team and captain of the girls’ swim team. She was president of both the Art Club and Gay-Straight Alliance. She was elected to the National Honor Society and served as Link Crew Leader.
About Ella Linsmeyer
Ella Linsmeyer will attend UW-LaCrosse, majoring in psychology with the goal of becoming a pediatric behavioral therapist. She was a member of the Dance Team and captain on the girls’ soccer team. She was the social media manager of the SALSA Club and a Link Crew member. She was elected to the National Honor Society.
About Maya McCollian
Maya McCollian will major in special education at UW-Eau Claire. She was a leader of the Buddies program and served a Youth Apprenticeship, both working with special education students in the middle and high school. She has also been involved with track and field, volleyball, Students Taking Action Now, and Student Senate. She was elected to the National Honor Society.
About Bree Schuettpelz
Bree Schuettpelz plans to complete the accelerated Radiologic Science Program at Bellin College. She was captain of the girls’ soccer team and was named first team all conference in 2025. She was a member of Health Occupations of America, French Club, and the volleyball and basketball teams. She was elected to the National Honor Society.
