Thank you to Ed, puzzler at our library!

Ed B working on puzzle of a farm during Outagamie Fair week, 2026

Ed B. is a library star! He enjoys passing time at the library working on the community puzzles. He is very, very good at them.

During Outagamie County Fair Week, 2026, the library had a puzzle to work on which featured a beautiful farm scene. We choose puzzles by what is going on in the community or what is happening seasonally. This puzzle was the perfect match for Fair Week.

People ask us how quickly the puzzles get finished. It is usually two weeks or less for a puzzle to get done. People also ask how many people work on the puzzles. We probably have ten “regulars” and Ed is one of them. But all are welcome to help out as able.

Thanks to FMPL for purchasing the puzzle board (with drawers) for our puzzlers to separate out the pieces. This board came with a sheath that can be put over the top to keep the pieces in place when it is not being worked on. Brilliant!

In our hallway, we have our puzzle buffet where people take puzzles and return puzzles on an honor system. Thanks for all of the generous donations of puzzles through the years! There is quite the variety to choose from–different sizes, shapes, number of puzzle pieces, and recommended age levels.

People love this way to occupy time (and minds!)  for cabin fever in winter or summer!
