Our highly anticipated new library software was launched this week. We have had a few kinks to work out (expected!) and things are going very well OVERALL. We are so happy!
Now we can set our sights on the Manhattan Short Film Festival!
We have been running the Manhattan Film Festival at our library since 2018.
This year we are showing the films on Thursday, October 1, beginning @ 7 pm; Friday, October 2, beginning @ 7 pm, Saturday, October 3, beginning @ 2 pm; and Sunday, October 4, beginning @ 2 pm. All adults are welcome for this free activity in our meeting space and the ability to vote for best film (of 10) and best actor (of 6). You only have to attend one of the four slots—we show the same set of 10 films four times. We were happy to say “yes” when Nick Mason (founder of the festival) began recruiting public libraries as sites for the festival. Thanks to FMPL for footing the bill!
We have enjoyed participating because many times the tabulations from our small audience samples match up with the overall winners when they are announced! We invite you to join us and YOU BE THE JUDGE!
