Congratulations basket winners 2026!

Congratulations to our summer basket winners, 2026: *Annette, *Rhett, *Duke and *Harry! We really appreciate the support of FMPL (Friends of the Muehl Public Library) who paid for the prizes! In total: there were 1684 entries. (Patrons filled out chances from June 8 until September 4 each time they checked out. Some folks passed on the opportunity.) It makes my heart swell to think of that much reading!

The baskets were curated to appeal to young children, middle grades, young adults and adults. Each basket contained a coloring book (good for stress!) and a non-fiction book (let’s read more non-fiction!). For the 250^th birthday of our country there was a 250 flag and a patriotic plushie. Finally, the handy gardening basket with trowel was to match the summer theme UNEARTH A STORY and promote gardening! (A worthwhile, joyful activity.)
