Jodi Barrington, library star!

Thank you to Jodi Barrington for saying these good words about our library to the City of Seymour on November 25, 2024.

Library thankfulness

The Muehl Library and staff and volunteers (Elizabeth Timmins, Colette Bezio, Leslie Hanseter, Jill Mahlik, Cindy Borgen, Cathy Krull, Angie Boughton, Carol O’Rourke, Kaarina Menting, Dan Jach, Carol Pierre, and Susan Manzke) are all an essential resource and blessing to our community. They not only have wonderful ways to connect you with books, but also provide different resources and educational opportunities for the community.

During Covid the library was available for families and the staff would gather books, puzzles and other educational or fun activities in a bag for families.

Families in Seymour have many different opportunities such as going to a movie night, joining a book club, or learning about new hobbies, attending author talks (such as Gordon Korman and Sarah Weeks to name a few). They have story time for younger kids as well as adult memory kits to help improve short term memory for those who need it.

They provide a meeting place to study, provide additional book resources to schools when teachers need more resources, as well as having computers and Internet for those who need it among other things.

We are so very thankful for the Muehl Public Library and staff.
