Goodbye and rest in peace, Rolo! Rolo joined us in 2019, and was trained by veteran library guinea pig Snickers. After the passing of Snickers, Rolo trained her new sidekick, Fable, during the Covid lockdown, when the two answered childrens’ letters. Rolo has greeted children at the library for six years, and appeared on library bookmarks, cards, and other graphics. We will miss her!

Today we say goodbye to Fable! Fable spent her life tagging along with Rolo, and has decided to go on doing that. Rest in peace, little guinea pigs. Fable joined us in the middle of the Covid lockdown, when no patrons were allowed to come inside the library. She spent those days pestering and playing with Rolo, and helping her write letters to children. Once the library opened, she happily greeted patrons for four years. She has been a wonderful library mascot and devoted devourer of parsley. 
In a forthcoming post we will tell you about the two new girls/guinea pigs that are now pets at the library! They have big shoes to fill!
