Debby took a turn to share at the Budget 2026 hearing on the evening of November 24, 2025. Thank you!

Debby Stellmacher spoke about yarn club that meets weekly on Tuesday evening and is led by Cindy Borgen. Debby explained that all abilities and projects are welcome. Everyone learns from each other and when there are sticky problems with crocheting or knitting or whatnot, members of the group help solve problems from their backgrounds and experiences. It is a lively, happy community experience which is diverse: older and younger people, male and female. Debby jokingly invited alderman Alex Tetzloff to join them. Alderman Steve Hurkman was chortling!

I (Elizabeth) was happy that Debby drove the point home that the weekly offering is worthwhile.
