Library Legislative Day in Madison on February 10, 2026 featured STARS!

Our two library stars are Jason Finn and Alexandra Pantzlaff who are featured on the left in this photo. They joined me for Library Legislative Day in Madison on February 10, 2026. Jason Finn serves as Secretary for our Board of Trustees, and he is a volunteer firefighter in our community (among other things). Alex is an active member of FMPL (Friends of the Muehl Public Library), and she is the Superintendent of Recycling for Outagamie County (among other things).

Thanks to Alex for bringing the publication ABC’s of Recycling Right! (a joint project of Brown, Outagamie, and Winnebago counties) to share with the legislators we visited. I brought a picture book for each office called The Cookie Vote by Margaret McNamara. It is a terrific book that shows the process for law making.

Other library stars are Representative Joy Goeben (this photo was taken in her office and posted by her, thank you!). We sincerely appreciate the support given to our library and the Seymour community by Joy. On the far right, Diane Forsythe serves as a Trustee on the OWLS Board (Outagamie Waupaca Library System). Our library is a member of this system. We are grateful that she attends Library Legislative Day and assists us as we advocate for public libraries.
