FMPL purchases a new puzzle board for the puzzlers at our library

New puzzle board, thank you FMPL

Colette Bezio made us aware that our puzzling board was both breaking and warping. She stated that it gave us a good life, lasting six years.

Joint puzzles are done at the center of our library. Patrons work on them daily and it is pretty amazing how quickly they finish them.

Colette takes pictures of the completed puzzles and posts them on Facebook. She decides the new puzzle by going to our puzzle shelves in our hallway. If you don’t know about them, it is a rotating collection of puzzles. Patrons can take them as long as they like and please return them if there are no missing pieces! There has been a great outpouring of generosity with this project. People donate puzzles all the time. We have a huge variety ranging in sizes and number of pieces. Carol O’Rourke keeps them in tip-top shape for us. Thank you, Carol.

We are happy to say that the interest in puzzles was one upside of the Covid time. Patrons love this offering and we have been so happy to be able to do it with our limited space!

As usual, FMPL stepped up to purchase our new board. Thank you, FMPL! Colette researched this cool board that has a plastic film which can be placed over the pieces while they are in progress. VERY, VERY COOL! This board is sturdy and we plan to get a long life out of it as well!
