
Our library stars are the Seymour Woman’s Club Scholarship winners for 2025! The library director is an active member of the service group. These words are authored by club member Kris Peters who served on the scholarship subcommittee along with club member Mary Kuhn.
Seymour Woman’s Club Awards Scholarships
For the 56th year, the Seymour Woman’s Club is proud to award scholarships to Seymour Community High School seniors. The 2025 winners are: Addison Gady, daughter of Kelly and Ron Gady; Audrey Hartleben, daughter of Nicole and Brent Hartleben; Alexis Holz, daughter of Sarah and Matthew Holz; and Valerie Rutter, daughter of Anita and Travis Rutter. Each winner will receive a $1000 scholarship after the completion of an academic semester. All seniors at SCHS were eligible for consideration.
Addison Gady plans to attend UW-Stevens Point, majoring in Business with a minor in Criminal Justice, along with continuing her athletic golf career. She was a member of the golf, soccer, hockey, and equestrian teams. Appleton Public Safety Cadets post, National Honor Society, Student Senate, and Broken Wheel Riding Club were just a few of the clubs she belonged to.
Audrey Hartleben will attend UW-Madison, pursuing a degree in chemical engineering. She was a member of the varsity softball team and was awarded First Team All-Conference Infield 2024 and Second Team All-Conference infield 2025. She served as President of the Spanish Club and was also a member of Student Senate, theatre, and Students Taking Action Now (STAN).
Alexis Holz will attend Concordia University, in the pre-occupational therapy degree program. She was co-president of Power of Peers, a club that integrates special needs students with regular education students. She volunteered many hours working with special needs students in the school. She has worked as a pharmacy apprentice.
Valerie Rutter’s goal is to become a veterinarian. She plans to first spend two years at Fox Valley Tech to complete a Tech Vet program, then transfer to UW-River Falls to complete her undergraduate work, and then work for her doctorate in veterinary medicine at UW-Madison. She was captain of both the cross country and basketball teams. She was also a member of FFA and 4-H.
